Another quickie.. again!

I'm getting pretty good at these 'quickie' thingies.. (apart from the fact that I'm completely losing my writing skills. You don't really need much skill just blogging about daily events now, do you? Sighh..) I digress. Anyway, in my defense, it's not my fault. Something is seriously wrong with Blogger because I'm having major problems uploading (i.e. I can't) my *ahem* beautiful pictures from my holidays and in fact, any pictures really.. So obviously, I can't write loads and loads about what happened etc. Ah well, some of you may say that it isn't that big a loss, rite? ;)

Anyway, yes, I'm now back in good ol' Nottingham and have officially started schooling.. *sob sob* I'm still in a major holiday mood and can't seem to get serious about doing any work or even finish unpacking/reorganizing my room. (To be fair, WS's presence in my room 24/7 offers a HUGE distraction.. *grin*)

Plus the fact that my holiday concluded really well doesn't help either.. I arrived in London a few days before school started, to have a mini-holiday with my family and WS. This is the first time in years that my whole family (dad, mum and sis) have been on a holiday together so it was kinda fun. London's always fun for food, especially.. (Gosh, I sound like greedy pig, don't I?) We went to watch Mamma Mia (since I never pass up the opportunity to watch a good musical in this music capital!). It was actually not bad (though not great) and it was definitely entertaining. My parents enjoyed it most, though WS and I agreed it certainly wasn't the best we've seen.

And speaking of one of the best we've seen, my sister decided that she wanted to watch the Phantom of the Opera whilst we were in London (having never seen it). My parents (who have also never saw it) were surprisingly, very keen on the idea, so we went hunting for tickets and luckily for us, got 5 tickets to watch it!! So yeah, we went! Hahaha.. Fun huh? WS and I had a wonderful time, even though this is our 2nd time round. It was much more meaningful this time, considering the fact that we knew (well, I knew) most of the songs by heart. It was all I could do not to burst out in song in accompaniment with the fabulous cast! Heehee.. But seriously, to those of you who haven't seen it, you MUST go see it. Not to bring your expectations too high or whatever, but it's definitely worth your money since you get a really good deal: great great fantabulastically great musical score, terrifically talented and remarkable singers, truly impressive special effects, magnificent costumes.. overall, a night you won't forget! :)

We did a bit of shopping (there's a massive summer sale going on now in London) and met up with PY, an old friend.. had loads to eat though didn't do much sightseeing. Overall, we had a great time in London and I was really sad to come back and say goodbye to my family. (They're off to Germany for dad's conference or something like that..) Ah well, guess I'll see them next time I go home.. (which would probably be ages!!!)

Sighh.. I truly hate going back to school..
